Our Story

Fox & Crow started in a little studio apartment in Brooklyn, NY in 2013.  At that time I was teaching elementary and middle school art full time.  I loved teaching dearly and thought Fox & Crow could be a fun little side gig for the weekends and summers.  What I didn't fully realize was that I was planting the seed of my deepest dream- to be a full time artist.  As Fox & Crow slowly grew I found myself staying up later and later on school nights, joyfully working on product lines and custom projects for clients.  If you know any teachers you probably know that a solid 8 hours of sleep is crucial to the job.  I had to decide to either pursue Fox & Crow as a full-time job or shrink it down to something more manageable so I could continue teaching.  The little seeds I had planted bloomed in my heart and I knew it was time to really give this artist thing my all!  It was beyond fortuitous that my husband was finding himself on a similar path at that same moment.  So in the summer of 2016 we picked up and moved to the very cool city of St. Petersburg, FL to pursue our dreams.  I do mss teaching and I hope to return to it some day- but I am loving this experience of creating art every day and slowly learning how to run a business.
